Maintenance for Accounts Production
The maintenance area for CCH Accounts Production contains entry points for set-up and maintenance of CCH Accounts Production. It enables those with permission to customise and maintain each entity at the master level, thereby making changes available for all clients.
- Auto Publish
- By default, when Wolters Kluwer issue a new CCH Accounts Production Master Pack version it is installed with a draft status. This allows time for changes to be reviewed and any adaptations to be made within the firm's/organisation's master pack (described as a practice pack) before deciding to publish and make the master pack available for users to select.
- Chart Categories, Chart Nominals and Charts
- The following chart options / areas of information are available within the maintenance area of CCH Accounts Production
- Collections
- The ability to add a new Collection at the master level is only available for CCH Trust Accounts formats, which sit within CCH Accounts Production.
- Compliance Terminology
- "FRS" and Unincorporated entities have the option of using Companies Act or IFRS terminology and to edit and / or create new terminology.
- Entities
- Use Entities to hide entities not currently in use and / or to re-order the listing.
- Entity Copy
- CCH Accounts Production provides the ability to create bespoke entity types such as Vets, Estate Agents and so on, and then customise the master pack contents. The custom entity must be based upon an existing CCH entity to provide the initial master pack data. Once copied it can then be customised.
- Format Designer
- Using the Format Designer at the master level, you are able to make changes to a page or note once for all entities. You are then responsible for maintaining those page/notes and they should be cross referenced to future releases.
- Format Updater and Format Updater History
- These two boxes are legacy and not required to be maintained.
- Images
- CCH Accounts Production can print one or more images within the accounts. For example, this feature can be used to add a logo to the front cover, or a graph to a strategic report. The accounts can contain multiple images as required.
- Import/Export Definition
- CCH Accounts Production includes the ability to import trial balances or transactions from delimited files. Default trial balance and transaction import structure files are already setup so that CCH Accounts Production understands how to import the data. If you wish to setup another file import structure, this is set up in two areas within CCH Accounts Production, File Structure and Nominal Mapping.
- Job Themes
- Once a Theme has been created it will be applied to Clients through the Job Theme screen.
- Master Asset Class: CCH Accounts Production
- The Master Asset Classes lists master asset class, asset cost nominals, balance sheet depreciation nominals, profit and loss nominals and default rates for use in the Fixed Asset Register which is accessed from within CCH Accounts Production.
- Master Packs
- CCH Accounts Production supports the management of master pack data over time by utilising different versions of a master pack. A Master Pack is a collection of the individual aspects that are used to generate a set of accounts. Each entity has its own unique master pack.
- Name Ranges
- Name Ranges are entity specific and contain one or many nominals codes which feed through to the pages and or paragraphs in CCH Accounts Production.
- Paragraphs
- This area contains all paragraphs for all entities and allows you to add or edit paragraph at the master level.
- Relationship Address Mapping
- Relationship Address Mappings show you which associations and addresses are used for data presented in the financial statements. It is recommended that the CCH settings are never changed as the change affects all clients.
- Statutory Auditor
- This area allows you to maintain the senior statutory auditor(s) available to be selected within the individual entity(ies)
- Statutory Database Defaults
- This area allows you to change the country of incorporation and the accountancy body for the database.
- Statutory Database Designer
- The statutory database may be customised for a customised entity only.
- Themes
- CCH Accounts Production has a default theme which consists of styles and their attributes. A bespoke theme may be created at the master level.
- Virtual Expressions
- Virtual expressions are included within conditions (formulae) in CCH Accounts Production.
- Word Items
- This area allows you to edit existing and / or create additional word items.
