Auto Publish

Product Help Banner.png

By default, when Wolters Kluwer issue a new CCH Accounts Production Master Pack version it is installed with a draft status.  This allows time for changes to be reviewed and any adaptations to be made within the firm's/organisation's master pack (described as a practice pack) before deciding to publish and make the master pack available for users to select.

Setting Entity Types to Auto Publish

You can set it up so that any new Master Packs within a release will, in future, automatically and immediately be published:

Navigate to: File > Maintenance > Accounts > Auto Publish

On this screen, tick the box in the end column in each row for each Entity Type.

Auto publish effect upon unfinalised accounting periods

When a later master pack is available than that currently being used, within an ;unfinalised period of account, upon entering the accounting period a message is displayed advising that a later master pack is available.

Ignore - to stay on the current master pack and not be asked the question the next time of entering the accounting period.

Yes - to upgrade to the later master pack.

No - to stay on the current master pack, but be shown the option again the next time of entering the accounting period.

The Auto Publish settings will only apply to future CCH master pack releases. Practice master packs will always need to be published independently.

Note: "Draft" in the message above will only be seen where a pack has not been published and only users who have permission to see a draft master pack will be prompted to upgrade.
