- 1. Creating a Fixed Asset Register
- The Fixed Asset Register is generated from within CCH Accounts Production. Open an Accounting Period in CCH Accounts Production. This is usually the first period for which you wish to record assets, although the Fixed Asset Register does permit prior period entries in some cases.
- 2. Entering opening balances
- Once the Fixed Asset Register is created, you can take on last year's closing assets to bring forward the opening balances.
- 3. Buying and Selling Assets
- During the year the Fixed Asset Register will be updated for assets bought and sold.
