CCH Packs: Practice Management Implementation Consultancy

We will discuss the Practice's internal processes in terms of timesheet and billing in order to complete the configurations which entails: allocation of employees to the respective pre-defined categories, adding assignments, charge rates, setup the timesheet and bill authorisation plus making basic amendments to the fee note and debtor statement template. This is a online interactive course designed to run for one sessions up to 3 hours each.

The purpose of the Practice Management implementation meeting is to discuss the Practice's internal processes in terms of timesheet and billing in order to complete the configurations which entails: allocation of employees to the respective pre-defined categories, adding assignments, charge rates, setup the timesheet and bill authorisation plus making basic amendments to the fee note and debtor statement template. What should we prepare in advance?Edit section

During the implementation meeting the consultant will explain how to input the WIP and Debtor balances; therefore it is crucial that you prepare:

  • a list of opening WIP balances per client, taking into account the date you will start using CCH Practice Management
  • a list of open item debtor per client

To facilitate the completion of the configuration it is recommended to have the following information available on the implementation, please DO NOT send this information to us, the consultant will instruct where those should be setup and/or logged in your database:

  • the Practice’s fee note template and its logo if applicable
  • the Practice’s debtor statement template
  • the Practice’s accounting period
  • the date the Practice will start using timesheets and issuing bills
  • list of the charge rates for each employee
  • list of working hours for each employee
  • list of balance of number of holidays for each employee, only if you want to keep track of this via timesheet

Key Objectives 

To ensure that: 

  • Timesheet Smart Reports (missing timesheets, staff utilisation) Timesheet settings and processing periods are set up to enable employees to start entering time
  • The Practice’s Fee note is added to enable the Practice to bill
  • Appropriate Practice Management security is added to all employees
  • Any WIP and Debt balances are brought into CCH

  • Check the structure of your practice against the compliance pre-configuration (timetable, time units, employee leave)
  • Set processing periods
  • Ensure the assignment templates meets the Practice's requirement
  • Ensure the clients have the respective assignments and jobs if applicable
  • Allocating the employees to their respective categories and that the timesheet setup is completed
  • Adding the charge rate and balance of holidays (if applicable) for each employee
  • Ensure the authorisation tab is setup for each employee
  • Ensure correct default homepages were deployed
  • Make basic amendments to fee note and debtor statement templates
  • Bring in WIP and Debtors balance 
  • Check whether WIP and Debtor balances are correct (if applicable) Add some useful Smart Reports to favourites

Note: This online consultancy takes up to 3 hours.
