This workflow automatically attaches to bills after they have been posted. It reminds you to generate a statement if the bill remains unpaid after it becomes due.

Introduction

Note that this workflow requires the module CCH Practice Management to be installed in your system.

This workflow automatically attaches to bills after they have been posted. It reminds you to generate a statement if the bill remains unpaid after it becomes due. The workflow will do this 3 times (every 30 days) while the bill is unpaid but can be stopped by putting the bill in dispute.

This workflow only reminds you to send a statement. To automatically generate one and send it to the client, you must be a CCH Document Management customer, and can use _CCH Credit Control DM in conjunction with _CCH Statement Delivery.

Alternative workflows

Use _CCH Credit Control DM if you use CCH Document Management and want the statements generated automatically.

How to use this workflow

This workflow will normally be used by a credit controller. The idea is that the credit controller can monitor this workflow and manually generate a statement when it tells them to.

To enable the workflow, in the Standard Workflows screen, un-tick the "Inactive" checkbox.

Pre-requisites

Central Settings:

  1. Set up an extra field called "Debt Escalation Level". It should be a category type and have a data type of text. Make it available to Contacts and Clients, and set values of 1, 2, and 3. Ensure 1 is the default.

Possible Enhancements

Use _CCH Credit Control DM with _CCH Statement Delivery to generate and deliver statements automatically.
