Changing of addresses - best practice

Best practice-changing of addresses

Two-way sync is enabled

If the registered office or the primary address for other person needs to be changed due to moving premises, you will need to end the current address in CCH Central, wait for the sync to run (this can take up to 5 minutes) then add the new address into CCH Central.  When CCH Central pushes the data into CCH Company Secretarial after the sync has run the new address will be visible within CCH Company Secretarial and the historical address in CCH Central will not be affected.

This process needs to be followed as CCH Company Secretarial does not use end dates on addresses.

Sync from Company Secretarial only

If the registered office or the primary address for other person needs to be changed due to moving premises, you will need to end the current address in CCH Central, then update the existing address of that organisation or person within CCH Company Secretarial. When CCH Company Secretarial pushes the data into CCH Central, the current address will be updated, and the historical address will not be changed.  This process needs to be followed as CCH Company Secretarial does not use end dates on addresses.
