Toolbox: Standing Orders

Standing Orders are generally used to automatically bill a client or supplier on a fixed and regular basis. You can use existing client bills to create templates that will automatically generate a new bill for a particular client at regular time intervals (for example, monthly billing).

This means that once a client or a supplier bill has been created, it can be used as a blueprint for future bills by including all the default information. This is very useful for customised billing because you do not need to replicate or regenerate the information each time you raise a bill for a client or supplier.

The list of standing orders is displayed the Standing Orders window. The list of allows you to view the current bills available on the system by Client Partner or by All Client Partners. It is used to create and maintain Standing Orders and Draft Bills, and to perform bulk authorisation, un-authorisation and posting of bills.
