Roles and Responsibilities
Here we take a look at some of the roles and responsibilities within the Wolters Kluwer and the customer project team.
A project manager will be assigned, where applicable. Ahead of your project starting, it's recommended that you consider who will be best placed to be your Project Lead as well as other roles.
Project Manager
- Organise a project launch meeting or call
- Manage the TAAUK deliverables and implementation process
- Manage the activities required to implement the software, on time and to the project scope
- Liaise with the training consultants and installation team on their activities
- Regular liaison with the customer on progress
- Manage change control
- Monitor project risks and implementation
- Create and manage the project plan and timescales
- Manage a project close meeting and review lessons learned.
Account Manager
- Maintain ongoing customer relationship
- Own commercial aspects of the project.
Consultant / Product Trainer
- Deliver work to an agreed agenda or specification (for training, consultancy, installation or data services)
- Deliver a services pre-call
- Complete any post-delivery follow ups and evaluation if applicable.
Customer Project Lead / Customer Project Manager
- Own and manage issues and communications within the client project team
- Own the communication and change management within their business
- Main point of contact for WKUK project manager
- Co-ordinate and monitor all client activities to maximise the services
- Monitor and control project risks and issues in conjunction with the project manager
- Report project progress to the customer project sponsor.
Customer Lead User / Key Decision Makers
(could be the same person as the Implementation Lead)
- Participate in the training and consultancy sessions to enable us to gain a full understanding of the requirements
- Make decisions on the configuration to be utilised, taking into account reporting and overall system requirements
- Action the tasks assigned during the implementation sessions including but not limited to devising coding structures, inputting parameters, collating data
- Liaise with all parties involved in the data migration process and to take prime responsibility for data validation and acceptance
- Ensure correct diary management for applicable customer stakeholders for each consulting/training session
- Deliver end user training within the organisation (if applicable).
