CCH Practice Management: Implementation Consultancy

Overview

This implementation consultancy will provide an opportunity to review your processes and policies with the guidance of our experienced consultants. 

Changing your business systems involves an in depth assessment and our consultancy provides a detailed look at the software, providing knowledge to enable decisions regarding setup and deployment of your new system. 

Your consultant will discuss the below course contents ahead of your session and help identify which representatives will be required across the discussion points and decision making. 

Course Duration: Two online or on site Implementation consultancy  sessions. Each session will last up to 3 hours.

 

Key Objectives

  • to provide the firm with a detailed look at the software and provide you with enough knowledge to be able to make decisions regarding the setup of the software and options within it. 
  • to provide discussion around the impact on the firms existing policies and workflow.  
  • What new procedures may need to be put in place and what may need to be documented and communicated to the rest of the business.
  • Guidance will be provided by your consultant from this initial session, the business team will be required to continue to discuss and document further ahead of any end user training. 

Course Contents

Planning and Implementation

  • Review practice’s existing practice management system and processes.
  • Understanding CCH Practice Management.
  • Identify the practices team of champions who will support and promote the new system and changes within the business.
  • Training – who will require additional training in key areas specific to their role – i.e. timesheet and bill processing.
  • Review hardware/software requirements which may impact roll out.
  • Review a conversion plan–if required.

Practice Management Policies and Procedures

  • Defining policies around key aspects of practice management including managing WIP and debt and employee utilisation.

Processes and Tasks

  • Managing all communications and correspondence with clients via post, CCH OneClick and emails.

Consultancy Outcomes

At the end of the session your consultant will work with you to define a draft project plan–if required, agree the actions to be completed by all relevant parties. You will be directed to full supporting collateral and eLearning in readiness for the next stages of your  project.

Discussions during this consultancy may highlight the need for additional consultancy and/or training sessions for specific end users, for client management, billing or debtor management

Pre-requisites 

Attendees should adhere to the Training session Guidelines.

All attendees should have a good understanding of CCH Central

All attendees should have a good understanding of their practices existing practice management systems.

Representatives should come prepared to discuss their existing workflows and policies as well as requirements from your new practice management system.

Who is this course designed for? 

  1. Representative with firm decision maker - Support for CCH Practice Management and the paperless office from firm’s leaders is critical to a successful implementation. Partners should be responsible for communicating the firm’s commitment to the roll-out of CCH Practice Management to the employees and the benefits to the clients.
  2. Representative at a more detailed level who will oversee implementation - Managers or seniors involved must have a good understanding of the firm’s current practice structure, client, WIP and Debt management.
  3. Personal Assistants\Administration - this group often have a detailed knowledge of the firms existing procedures and can have a valuable input to the process. Ultimately they can be heavily impacted by the implementation of Practice Management software and therefore it is important to gather their feedback and input. Consider a Super User/Champion to represent this group.
  4. Other - Representatives from all teams from the organisation should be present in the consultancy to ensure all areas affected by the implementation have input and the different processes adopted by each area can be addressed.

The involvement of the IT department will be crucial to installation, support, and amendments of business recovery procedures. IT will not be required once installation has taken place and all technical considerations have been addressed with our specialised consultants. We will require access to your live system during the consultancy session.
