CCH Practice Management: Billing setup, configuration and processing

Overview

This course will provide consultancy in setup and maintenance of the key components of CCH Practice Management within CCH Central
The consultancy includes the configuration and management of your database, in line with your business requirements. 
After completing this session you will be able to continue with the system maintenance and configuration changes of the database. 

Course Duration: Two consecutive onsite or online sessions. Each session will last up to 3 hours.

Key Objectives

  • The delegates will be able to setup and maintain the billing configuration.
  • To ensure system managers and administrators are able to perform setup, maintenance, data approval and posting functions.

Course Contents

Session 1: Billing setup and configuration

  • Review and edit configuration settings
  • Check document configuration settings
  • Check last bill numbering
  • Review of Master Paragraphs
  • Linking Master Paragraphs to Assignment Templates and Task Codes (where applicable)
  • Creating code types for interim/estimate to complete bills and misc. charges
  • Bill template creation
  • Group tab review

Session 2:  Bill processing (could be repeated depending on numbers attending)

  • Pre-billing reports
  • Straight forward WIP billing
  • Using paragraphs and Master Paragraphs
  • Interim/Estimate to complete billing
  • Pure profit bills (misc. charges) and credit notes
  • Group billing
  • Bill authorisation and posting
  • Sending the bill to the client

 

Pre-requisites 

Attendees should adhere to the consultancy session Guidelines.

All attendees should have a good understanding of CCH Central with appropriate task permissions.

Who is this course designed for? 

System administrators
Staff that have responsibility for managing CCH Central and/or CCH Practice Management. 

Note: We recommend an End User session which will cover all of the contents from the Billing Processing consultancy to enable your staff to be up and running with billing your clients.
