CCH Accounts Production: Group Accounts Formats Training

Overview

This online training course is one online session on how to create a group structure, bringing together the relevant entities set up within CCH Accounts Production to form a set of consolidated statutory accounts for the group. 
Users will learn how consolidating and inter-company adjustments are made and how to add group statutory disclosures. 
The difference between the formulae used on the group formats and those used elsewhere in the software will be discussed.

Course Duration: This single session will last up to 3 hours.

Key Objectives

  • To provide users with an understanding of the formats for CCH Accounts Production Consolidation entities, either Limited FRS 102 or Limited IFRS
  • To bring together the group structure by linking companies
  • To view parent/subsidiary information within the statutory database
  •  To produce consolidated statutory accounts and entering consolidation journals

  • Introductions
  • Principles of using the consolidated entities in CCH Accounts Production (FRS 102 or IFRS)
  • Creating the consolidation entity(ies)
  • Setting up the group:
    • Group structure
    • Adding the parent
    • Linking subsidiaries
  • Consolidation figures and the chart of accounts and rounding:
    • Management collection
    • Overview of formulae within the audit trail within the consolidated entity of parent and subsidiary entities
  • Identification of non-financial entries brought through to the consolidated entity:
    • Addresses 
    • Associations
    • Officers
  • Initial set-up in the Statutory database
  • Financial statements - initial preview
  • Journals:
    • Advisor journals - consolidation and inter-company journals (group elimination)
    • Non-controlling interest (minority interest)
  • Further statutory database set-up /entries:
    • Offset accounts
    • Analysis and viewing group values from parent / subsidiary(ies)
    • Accounting policies
    • Reports (e.g. strategic, directors, audit)
    • Further disclosures (e.g. related party)
  • Printing consolidated final accounts

Attendees should adhere to the Training session Guidelines.

All users should have a good understanding of CCH Central.

All users should have a good understanding of CCH Accounts Production.

Existing CCH Accounts Production users who are involved with the production of FRS 102 or IFRS group accounts statutory accounts.
