Prerequisites

Installing CCH Personal Tax 2023.1 Service Pack

This release is installed using the Central Suite Installer. This ensures that all prerequisites are in place and that all the products for which you are licenced are installed in the correct sequence. Click here to learn about the Central Suite Installer.

Legislative & Compliance Updates

Updated FTSE350 File

The 2022/23 FTSE350 file is included in this release.

Average Exchange Rates

The average exchange rates file is produced from the official HMRC average exchange rates. The file is now included in this release.

Double Tax Treaty Rates

The 2023 Double Tax Treaty Rates are included in this release. The following countries have been updated:

Chile
India
South Korea

Quality Improvements

The following quality improvement has been addressed in this release:

Disclosure Notes based on new field NRD11_1

With the 2023.1 release a new field The number of days you were in the UK at midnight but were in transit was added to the 2023 tax return. It was not possible to add a business rule based disclosure note based on this new field; it has been rectified in this release.

SA302 Incorrect when switching from Calculate optimal basis to Remittance basis

When using the Arising v Remittance Basis module and switching from Calculate optimal basis to Remittance basis the SA302 Tax Calculation was not always showing the correct value. Users had been advised to open the Employments data entry window to refresh the gross up computation.
