CCH Audit Automation 2023.3 SP Release Notes

Release Highlights

This release provides a number of enhancements and minor quality improvements.

Prerequisites

Installing CCH Audit Automation 2023.3 SP

This release is installed using the Central Suite Installer. This ensures that all prerequisites are in place and that all the products for which you are licensed are installed in the correct sequence.

Offline Data

Any client data that has been taken offline should be traveled back to the office database before updating the system.

Software Enhancements

Headings added to identified risk assertions

New headers are added in the text boxes present on the right hand side for each added assertion on the Identified risk screen. These headings will be added at the point of adding an assertion and will be repopulated if the text box is empty. These headings are a prompt for consideration when assessing the assertions linked to the risk. clipboard_e45072c8e158a2f2177e208dc4c0623b5.png

Update to numbering used for inherent risk and tailoring questions when editing a master pack

When editing a practice masterpack, any new sections added to inherent risk or tailoring questions will now start from 51 and any new questions added under existing sections will start from 51. This is to avoid a scenario where the same section and question is duplicated in a practice master pack and the default master packs.

Selecting assertions from identified risks

Previously, when selecting assertions on an identified risk that has been concluded on, it was not possible to click on the assertions to view the assessed details. This issue has been resolved.

Guidance buttons

The Guidance buttons have been enabled for the identified risks, key accounting estimates and key controls screens. These will become active with the release of new master packs when the guidance is added.

Audit homepage screen in Central

It is now possible to resize the name column on the audit homepage control in Central.

Quality Improvements

Area risk assessment screen not updating the correct status for control and inherent risk assessment

Previously the assesment status for control environment and Inherent risk were not updating correctly on the area risk assessment screen. This issue has been resolved.

System crashing when changing user

Previously, when switching user, the system would close when exiting a client. This issue has been resolved.

Register of involvement

Previously the register of involvement document on the main index would not open after changing the master pack the client was based upon. This issue affected the PCAS master packs and has been resolved.

Points forward document

Previously this document would not always open correctly. This issue has been resolved.

ITS 66462 - Risk factor not using correct risk factor

Previously, when working on an identified risk where assertions have been allocated different levels of residual risk, the risk factor used would be based on the last risk factor that had been set rather than the highest risk factor assessed for the assertion. This issue has been resolved.
