Transaction Types (Twinfield)

The Transaction Types are the templates for your postings. Within the templates you can define the settings by simply clicking the dropdown options. Additional text fields may also be applied to the data entry template.

The following options listed below enable the user to customise their Purchase invoice template:-

  • Currency: This can be overridden in the data entry screen.
  • Initial number of lines: Change the number of lines displayed on the template.
  • Default VAT: Here you can select a default VAT code for this document.
  • Post as final: When you set this option, an additional popup box will appear asking the user to confirm the final posting of a transaction.
  • Description options:
    Allowed, posts transaction with/without a description. 
    Mandatory with warning, when the description field is empty upon posting the transaction an orange warning bullet is displayed on the left, description field (s) are outlined in red. The posting can be forced through by selecting Provisional/final. The transaction will be posted without a description.
    Mandatory with error, Red warning bullet on the left is displayed, description field (s) are outlined in red and the user is unable to post the transaction Provisional/final until a description is entered.
  • Cheque number options:  Cheque box displayed on the purchase template.
  • Quantities options: Allowed/Mandatory. Blue quantities options displayed next to the amount field.
  • Free Text fields; add up to three additional fields onto your invoice template.
