Companies that pay interest on shares rather than dividends
Some companies (a very few) pay interest on shares instead of dividends. An example is SEDOL BW4NPD6, Ranger Direct Lending Fund Plc. Three changes have been made for these companies:
- In the Exshare feed, these came through as dividends. This has been fixed and they now come in as interest.
- The Income/Acquisition report shows the payments as Interest Paid Net of Tax.
- The interest payments now come into Personal Tax from 2018/19 onwards.
