Global Data Entry

This window allows data entry to a client without having to load the client first. The operation of this window is similar to the Client Data Entry window with the exception of the client selection process described below.

When first accessed the cursor will be located in the Client field allowing entry of the appropriate Client Code. The F2 facility can be used to select the client.

Having selected the required client press TAB, or click on the Options field. The options field will then be updated with the data entry options appropriate to the selected client.

  • Bank Payments
  • Bank Receipts
  • Journals
  • Investment Entries
  • Property Entries

All entries added during a Data Entry session are displayed in the Transactions Just Entered field and are available for amendment and/or deletion. Once the Data Entry window has been closed the entries can be accessed via the Edit Entries option on the Client menu.

To Add a new entry

  1. Double click on the relevant Data Entry type in the Options field.
  2. Highlight the relevant Data Entry type in the Options field and
  3. then select the Add button.

To Edit one of the displayed entries

  1. Double click on the entry in the Transactions Just Entered field.
  2. Highlight the relevant entry in the Transactions Just Entered field and
  3. then select the Edit button.

To Delete one of the displayed entries

  1. Highlight the relevant entry in the Transactions Just Entered field and
  2. then select the Delete button.

To Select another client

  1. Click in the Client field and
  2. enter the new code or use the F2.
