Create a New Template

On the main toolbar click the Reports button, .

Go to Templates category, click on the subcategory and click Create button from the task bar.
- The Report Designer window opens.
4. On the task bar click on Page Setup to choose Portrait or Landscape.
5. Right-click anywhere in the work area to start creating your template. Drag items from Toolbox (Control section on the left) to add items to the template. You can add and change itemsto headers or footers, move and align items, or add borders or colour.
6. When you have created the template, close the Report Designer page. A message displays where you can click Yes to save the template.
7. The Save Template window appears.
8. Select the Save as new template radio button.
9. Enter a title for the new template.
10. Click OK.
11. Next time that you create a new smart report in any category the new template will be listed on the Template drop down list.
Note: By default a new template contains only the following elements:
- PageHeader
- Detail area
- PageFooter.
A template or report can only have a single set of report header and footer elements, and a single set of page header and footer elements.
