Defining Document Mailing Settings in CCH Central

 ​​​​Under  File > Maintenance > Documents there are options where you can setup the folders location, the format of the algorithm for documents and mailing.

  1. From the main menu, click File > Maintenance > Documents > Mailing Settings.

  2. In the Mailing Settings window, define the settings as follows:
  • Billing Startup Path: Defines the location on the network of start location for billing.
  • Templates Path: Displays the default path for templates used in the system. You can change this templates path.
  • Document Startup Path: Displays the default path for files used in the system. You can change the path.
  • GDPR Path: Displays the default path where the GDPR files are saved. The GDPR files are generated from the Main tab of a client or contact window. You can change the path.
  • Mailing Salutation: Defines how an addressee is greeted in a letter.
  • Mailing Name: Defines the style used for names in letters.
  • Mailing Initials: Sets the initials to be used for mailing purposes.
  • Mailing Formal Name: Defines the formal name to be used in mail.
  • Mailing Separator: Defines the mail separator to be used.

 3. To change the path click on the ellipsis (highlighted in red below). 

 4. When you have finished defining settings, click Buttom OK.PNG to save and close the window.

Reset Mailing

Use this option if you want the system to reset the mailing name for all clients according to the format setup under Mailing Settings.

1. On the main menu, click File > Maintenance > Documents > Mailing Settings.

2. Under the task bar, click the button Reset mailing.

3. When the update finishes, click Buttom OK.PNG to save and close the window.

Note: The Reset Mailing should be used with care as it overwrites any existent mailing name of contacts, clients and suppliers.
