CCH Accounts Production - Known issues

Last update: 13 April 2023

Date Raised VSTS/ITS Description Workaround ( If applicable) Scheduled/Resolved
04/08/2023 ITS/67765 Using the new taxomony FRS-102-DPL-SECR-2023-01-01 you may see incorrect warnings in Review and Tag that the accounts contain a DPL when the accounts are ready for submission to Companies House or HMRC. A KnowledgeBase article has been prepared describing what to do in these cases here. 2024.1
27/07/2023 ITS/67758 After upgrading to 2023.2 you see an error "Could not find stored procedure 'AP.TR_ViewTransactionsGet'" going into View Transactions. This only occurs if something went wrong with the database upgrade and it somehow ran twice. Run the attached script, TR_ViewTransactionsGet.sql, which adds back in the missing stored procedure. 2023.3
02/05/2023 ITS/66657 No tags are present in the accounts for FRS102 Consolidated
The default taxonomy for Consolidations is pointing to the FRS-102-2021-01-01 taxonomy which has no tags in it.
Contact CCH Software Support who have a script to set the default taxonomy back to FRS-102-2019-01-01. Also this will be fixed in a service pack. 2023.1 SP
12/04/2023 ITS/66640 Error on upgrading to 2023.1 Accounts Production Master Packs
When upgrading to 2023.1, there may be a warning triangle error on Accounts Production Master Packs and the error is for DLL_V60/BeforeUpgrade/Scripts.sql and the error refers to Deleting invalid tags for Entity id LLP_FRS105, Taxonomy FRS-102-2021-01-01.
This error relates to a tagging issue on LLP FRS105 Companies House Registered Number accounts. The error can be ignored and will be addressed in the next release of the software. 2023.1 SP
28/07/2022 ITS/66364 If accounts contain a logo and are saved to PDF or Word, the logo may appear as being too large in the PDF or Word document.

2022.3

30/03/2020   'New Travel' not supported unless licensed for Audit

New travel was documented in the Appendix to the AP 2019.3 Release Notes. There it mentioned that Old Travel was still the recommended approach for users who are not licensed for Audit. In fact, New Travel does not work for users who are not licensed for Audit as the CSI does not lay down a copy of the WCF Service on the local workstation.
Continue to use Old Travel - which is the default. CCH is not aware of any reason to use New Travel except for Audit users.

Information Only

ITS/66362 Formatting incorrect on saving accounts to PDF or Word
When the accounts were previewed they looked correct, but on saving to PDF 2 issues were observed:
  • When an old-style non-RTF paragraph was used that contained a pipe character, “|”, to insert a line feed. This affected the Accountants’ Report Introduction in the old Sole Trader and Partnership packs. The last line of the paragraph was fully justified when it should have been left-justified. This was partly fixed in 2022.2 SP, but you may now see extra space characters at the start of the paragraph after the pipe character. (Expected 2023.1)
  • When a clickable link (URL) appeared in a new-style RTF paragraph such as the Accountants’ Report for the Unincorporated pack. A long URL was not being wrapped. (Fixed 2022.2 SP)
Edit the paragraph to use a line feed instead of a pipe. Or edit it to create a plain text link that was not clickable. Or install the Service Pack.

2022.2 SP
