CCH iFirm : Minimum specifications
Supported browser versions:

Internet Explorer is no longer supported.
Microsoft has offered Edge as the default browser for several years and actively encourages the use of Edge instead of Internet Explorer (IE). We therefore recommend using Edge or one of the other supported browsers.
Prerequisites
- Microsoft .NET 8 ASP.NET Core Runtime
- Microsoft .NET 8 .NET Runtime
- Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime
- The version of CCH Central must be on 2025.310.11111 or later to use CCH iFirm
- CCH Central Services must be in a running state
The CSI will install the latest version for you. You will also need to go to the Tools section and select .Net 8.0 Instalation, then Install.

CCH iFirm Anti-Money Laundering, Personal Tax and Accounts Production
If you are using the CCH iFirm modules within the CCH Central suite then you will require Microsoft .NET 8.0 runtime to be installed on all computers where CCH iFirm functionality within the CCH Central suite is to be utilised.
Important Note to current or future CCH iFirm customers
CCH Central 2025.310 release provides crucial updates relating to cloud contact security.
The service pack will enable a synchronisation of contact access rights between CCH Central & CCH iFirm.
CCH iFirm contact security will be dependent on this release. As a result, any firms using CCH iFirm without having installed the service pack will have no contact security controls, meaning that all CCH iFirm users can access all contacts/clients (in CCH iFirm only).
This update relates to anyone already using or planning to use any of the following in the near future:
- CCH iFirm Personal Tax
- CCH iFirm MTD for Income Tax
- CCH iFirm AML
- CCH iFirm Accounts Production
- CCH iFirm Validate
Checklist
- Coverage of the prerequisites completed to all touchpoints
- Check and Confirm the presence of a CCH Central Service for all Databases where CCH iFirm is required
- Update, where required, each Database to use a unique Client Code ahead of CCH iFirm activation and retain uniqueness moving forwards
- Update of CCH Central on the given environment to the current release version in alignment with the release schedule
