CCH iFirm AML KYB Functionality in CCH Central
The CCH Central version that you are running must be 2025.1 or above for the KYB check to be operational
Running the AML KYB Check
- From within CCH Central find the client or contact that you would like to run an AML check on.
- Open the client or contact and navigate to tasks.
- Click on the CCH iFirm AML button.
After clicking CCH iFirm AML your browser will open a new tab, asking you to log into CCH iFirm with your Wolters Kluwer account.
Note: that the email address you use to login with your Wolters Kluwer account, must match the email address under the 'Personal' tab in the employee record in the CCH Central email.
If the email address for the Wolters Kluwer account and the email address on the employee record do not match, you can edit the email by going to the CCH Central > TASKS > Employee > Personal and then entering or editing the email address displayed.
Log in
After you log in, you will see a success message
IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW, just minimise the window as instructed.
If it does not minimise automatically then a new tab will open on your browser for you to continue the AML check.
You will see all the information from CCH Central has now been populated in the iFirm browser window ready for you to run the check.
If the unique Client Registration Number (CRN) number has been entered in the main tab of CCH Central it will display the business name on which the check will be run.
The country where the business is based can also be selected - not all countries e.g. the USA are included in the list if they do not supply enough useful information as part of the check.

If the unique CRN number has not been entered it will display all the possible business names and you will have to find the correct one from the drop down list and select it and then run the check
In either of the above cases once the check has been run the check result will display and you can download the report or view it from the KYB check log by clicking the ellipsis in the status column.
The KYB report will also be available from both the AML and Document Centre tab in Central. However there will be a delay in the timing of when it displays in these tabs depending on the setting within the maintenance section of Central (see the configuration settings below).
KYB Configuration Keys
To access the KYB configuration items in CCH Central go to File>Maintenance>User Defined>Configuration
This will only be available if you have the correct CCH Central permissions
iFirm_EnableKYBPolling=1 means that the document download into the CCH Central AML and Document Centre tabs is enabled
iFirm_KYBPolling=60 means that the database will be polled every 60 minutes for new reports which is the default and we would recommend this is not reduced as it could impact performance.
iFirm_KYBPollingTimeOut is the number of hours the system will search for a KYB report before timing out - 168 hours is the default.
