About Notes

Note Types

You can create unformatted notes using the following note types:

• Disclosure Note

• Working note

• Reason for estimated figures 

When you create a note you have a choice of three different note types:

• Tax Return Disclosure note
  Text under this type appears in the Additional Information section on the tax return.

• Explanation of estimated values
  Text under this type appears in the Additional Information section on the tax return.

• Working note
  Text under this type will not appear on the tax return.

A notes icon appears under Tax Return Data beside the tax return sections that contain notes. This is illustrated in the following example.
