Power BI Essentials service
What should we prepare in advance?
To ensure a smooth implementation within your business the following areas need to be completed:

Purchase Microsoft Power BI Pro - Power BI is not part of our commercial offering, a Power BI Pro license is required for anyone who builds or consumes the reports and dashboards.

Install and configure the on-premises gateway on a server close to or on the CCH Central database server. You can download the gateway here https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/

Create a Windows account for accessing windows file data through the gateway and test this works through the gateway.

Create a Workspace for Central Power BI Reports to be uploaded to.
Who should be involved?
we would recommend the following people are involved in the Power BI Essentials service to help the deployment of the dashboards. This can be a single individual with multiple responsibilities or a group:
- At least one member of staff who is proficient in using Power BI.
- Someone who knows your data and reporting requirements.
- Individual who needs to review and approve the dashboard before sign-off.
How long will it take?
The Power BI Essentials service requires 4 consultancy sessions to complete.

| Session 1: Initial Dashboard build |

Prior to this session you must arrange access to your system for the consultant, it is in this session they will build your initial set of essential dashboards, using your CCH Central & Practice Management data. No customer attendance is required for this system. |
| Session 2: Initial Dashboard delivery meeting |
|
In this meeting the Consultant will walk you through your Essential Power BI dashboards, they will explain the data being shown, and where it is pulled from in CCH. They will discuss what feedback/amendments is in scope as part of the Essentials service, and provide you with a document for you to populate your feedback, After this meeting it is your responsibility to collate any corrections, your business may require on the dashboard i.e. filters that may not have been applied, any figures that seem incorrect etc The Essentials service does not include any bespoke dashboards creation or customisation of existing dashboards as part of the offering. |
| Session 3: Dashboards amendments |

Prior to this session you must arrange access to your system for the consultant, it is in this session they make the amendments to your power bi dashboards based on the feedback provided. No customer attendance is required for this system. |
| Session 4: Dashboard sign off |
| In this meeting the Wolters Kluwer consultant will deliver your final set of dashboards, they will walk you through the changes made based on your feedback and sign off the implementation. |
Post Project Support
Following the Project sign off, there will be a 6-week period where queries can be sent through to your Wolters Kluwer Consultant.
Note: This is online Consultancy. Each session will last no more than 3 hours.
