This service is for the delivery of static data from your CCH Central database in an Excel file format representing the core (standing) and practice management data at a given point in time, which will be the date of your service delivery.  The session is delivered online in your live environment and requires attendance from a business represenative for a brief discussion on the specifics of your reports and exported results, but they do not need to attend throughout the duration of the service.

Overview

The service is designed to provide exported reports of your CCH Central data from your live system. Your consultant will communicate in advance of the session to confirm particulars of data which is specific to your practice (see * items below in the Exported Data reports list).  We will arrange to test the remote access in advance of the live session and confirm the location on your server/network where you would like your static data to be stored in an MS Excel format.

The focus of this session is on exporting standing (core) practice data and will generate individual MS Excel files to cover:

CCH Central
  • Company
  • Office
  • Department
  • Employees
  • Employee security groups
  • Clients open and closed
  • Client - DOB POB DOI
  • Contacts
  • Assignments types
  • Task codes
  • Extra fields*
  • Extra Addresses
  • Extra phone and email
  • Associations*
  • Team responsibilities - client level
  • Team responsibilities - assignment level
  • Address history
  • Notes
CCH Practice Management
  • Debt – Open items only
  • WIP - Open items only and at transactional level

 

Note: Customers who have a requirement to export their CCH Document Management system should contact their account manager for further details.

Pre-requisites

To prepare for this service and allow for a smooth extraction of data from your live system, the consultant will require the following ahead of the session :

  • Access to your CCH Central system - either direct onto a workstation or to your server (where CCH Central is installed)
  • 'Export to Excel' enabled in configuration : Reporting_UseSmartReportsExportToExcel value =1
  • A login for CCH Central which includes all task permissions for reports enabled.

  • Allow remote connection by consultant to live practice environment on day of service
  • Confirm network location for data export
  • Once data export is complete - confirm Excel files are accessible to practice
