Client Data Services Options: New Customers

Choosing a suitable option for your business depends on several factors, including the data that needs to be transferred to your new CCH Central database, available in-house resources, and the time allocated for data management.

Some customers prefer to manually enter client and contact information, helping them learn about their CCH Central database as they go. Others choose to transfer their collected client data using the self-import process via a standard spreadsheet; details are available here.

Customers who use spreadsheets from exported reports have full control over their business data's quality and integrity. The CCH Data Import service offers more record types than the self-import function, including WIP and Debt opening positions if needed. Consultants handle the data transformation and transfer from spreadsheets to the new CCH Central database.

The migration service is available for customers who want to use WK's proven methods for extracting data from a list of competitor systems; see here.

Migrating data is a longer process and requires collaboration between the customer and WK teams, transferring data is often the first stage of your new CCH solution for your business prior to consultation and training.

Data cleansing and verification remain the responsibility of the customer when making business decisions based on the extracted data. For customers who prioritise data quality, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting UK-Client data audit guidance.pdf assists in preparing and addressing data before transferring it to their new CCH database.
