Software Enhancements
Accrued Interest
Where there was a capital transaction with accrued interest attached that occurred less than three days before last income payment of tax year, then the accrued interest was shown as pertaining to next tax year on Accrued Interest client report.
For example, Sultanate of Oman 4.75% SNR Notes 15/08/2026 paid interest on 15 June and 15 December in 2022. If there was a purchase of notes on 14 December 2022 with Accrued Interest, and entitlement to the 15 December interest payment, the accrued interest would show in the 2023/24 column of the Accrued Interest client report. It now shows in the 2022/23 column.
If there is no entitlement to an income payment from the same security after the purchase in the same tax year, the accrued interest will continue to show in the column for the next tax year.
