CCH Corporation Tax 2022.2: Release Notes
Release Highlights
This release of CCH Corporation Tax continues the work introduced in the last release for the budget changes. The work includes but is not restricted to:
- Car Leasing Changes with effect from 1 April 2021
- Enhanced Zoom Options when viewing Tax Returns and schedules
- Improved Import/Export Functionality
In addition to the above items, we have also included several ITS fixes, details of these and other changes are included in these release notes.
Note: It was our intention to introduce the updated RIM artefacts for online filing and the updated Taxonomies for 2022, but as these have not yet been available by HMRC we are not able to include them in this release. We have also delayed release of the Form CT600M until the updated RIM artefacts have been released. We will keep users updated on the availability of these as and when we received further information from HMRC.
Prerequisites
Installing CCH Corporation Tax 2022.2
This release is installed using the Central Suite Installer. This ensures that all prerequisites are in place and that all the products for which you are licenced are installed in the correct sequence. Click here to learn about the Central Suite Installer (Prerequisites, Update Instructions etc).
Items to be included in the next release
We are still waiting for HMRC to issue both the updated RIM artefacts and the updated taxonomies for 2022. The aspirational date provided is Summer 2022, an exact date is yet to be provided. We will endeavour to provide these as soon as we are able.
No updated Taxonomies have been released by HMRC.
As a result of this we are not including the following items:
- New Form CT600B
- New Form CT600M and Freeport SBA changes
- S455 changes
Although we have coded these items it has not been possible to include them in this release without the updated RIM artefacts. They are to be included with the release for the RIM artefacts when this becomes available.
Legislative and Compliance Update
Leased Car Adjustments
We have included the option to include the leased car restriction where the lease commenced after 31 March 2021. We have included the new option in the drop down menu.
Software Enhancements
Enhanced Zoom Options
Improvements have been made to the zoom options available within Corporation Tax for viewing of the Tax Return and any schedules. Previously it was only possible to have the form maximised or minimised there are now several ‘stepped’ options available. Click on the magnifying icons to step through the options:
Import/Export Options
We have implemented a new facility within the software that limiting the size of cases to be exported and imported. The default size is to be limited to 500MB but this can be changed via the configuration key below.
Notable Issues
Updated 2022 RIM Artefacts
We are still waiting for HMRC to issue both the updated RIM artefacts and the updated taxonomies for 2022. The aspirational date provided is Summer 2022, an exact date is yet to be provided. We will endeavour to provide these as soon as we are able.
No updated Taxonomies have been released by HMRC.
New Form CT600B and CT600M
We have delayed release of the Forms CT600B and CT600M until after the updated RIM artefacts have been released.
