FAQs
Our most frequently asked questions about Power BI. If you have any further questions or need any more information please contact your account manager.
I like what I see –how do I get started?

Contact your Account Manager to register your interest. They will be able to arrange a demo of our current Power BI reports and dashboards offerings and arrange a quotation.

Do I need to have a Power BI subscription?

Yes –this is not part of our commercial offering. Microsoft prices for Power BI start at £7.50 per month per user.

What do you advise I do now –prior to implementation?

Ensuring you have completed all the areas covered in the ‘Readiness’ guide will allow your implementation to move ahead quickly once your order is received. You could also perform a data review, with a focus on clarity of holding areas for data eg.“parking lots” for WIP in specific categories etc.

What is the current lead time for implementation –when could we get started?

This will vary on the type of practice and specific implementation. Lead times for delivery will be in the region of 12 weeks dependent on demand and the quality of, and your knowledge of your data. We are working with customers now on implementations and are doing this on a “first come, first served” basis.

Do I need an onsite technical person?

Yes –it is important we can work with a contact in your business who has technical knowledge and an understanding of databases. Most importantly, we’ll need someone to liaise with on queries and who will take ownership of questions relating to the implementation.

Can I connect it to workbooks or other third-party software?

This is possible –but will not be delivered or supported by Wolters Kluwer.

Will you release future versions?

Yes –the dashboards may evolve with builds based on customer feedback and Power BI improvements or to include data from other CCH products.
