Exception Report

Exception Report contains tabs which advise that the current document or other data tags contains errors or omissions.

The tabs at the top of the panel

The Exception report panel is located at the bottom side of the main work area.

'Exception Report' contains tabs which advise that the current  document or other data tags contains errors or  omissions. If these errors are not corrected, the resulting iXBRL file is unlikely to be valid and its submission to HMRC or Companies House will fail.

General XBRL errors:
  • displays errors found by CCH iXBRL Review & Tag that must be resolved before both HMRC and Companies House submissions.
HMRC errors:
  • displays errors found by CCH iXBRL Review & Tag that must be resolved before both HMRC submissions.
Companies House errors:
  • displays errors found by CCH iXBRL Review & Tag that must be resolved before Companies House submissions.
Information:
  • displays information of items for information purposes only and do not need to be cleared. For example, if the Draft message is on the Accounts

The tabs at the footer of the panel

Exception report:
  • Displays the information for each of the tabs at the top, for example, if you click on HMRC Errors tab, the Exception report tab lists the HMRC Errors
Notes:
  • displays a list for users to add notes, once there is note a pencil will be show on the left hand side of the item
  • Tag notes will list any note which was added within a tag
  • General notes lists any generic note
  • Notes per page of Accounts, once you click the page is displayed on the working area and you can make notes related to that page

Layout changes:

  • contains a list of any edits made to the text of the report displayed

Template Document Unused Tags:

Companies House Submission Warnings:

  • displays any information on the submission to Companies House.
