3. Testing the Scan Profiler Service

Testing the Scan Profile Service can be done either by scanning a document via the MFD or by dropping a PDF into a sub folder within the ScanInBox folder as configured for your business.

Testing

To test the Scan Profiler Service is working correctly you need follow the steps which will route a document from an employees folder on the network and deliver the pdf into the pending library assigned to that employee as a task in CCH Document Management.

Ideally you want to test the full process from scan to delivery however if your scanner has not been set up to point to the employee sub-folders as yet you can still test that the scan profiler service is working correctly with the configuration settings that have been applied with the following steps.

  1. Open two Windows Explorer screens and locate the ScanInBox and drop a PDF into your sub folder

 2. Log into CCH and on the Scan Profiler Homepage, you should see the document there, you may need to refresh the screen. You will also see the document from the Document Inbox homepage.

The document can be profiled from either homepage into CCH Document Management (see the user guide; Set up and profile documents from the Scan Profiler Homepage).
