Time Processing Period creation and maintenance
Set up Time Processing Category
- On the main menu, click Maintenance>Time Setup>Time Processing Categories.
- The Time Processing Categories window appears.
- Enter the Description in the blank row at the top of the table. To edit the Description, type directly into the field.
- Enter the Category Type or select one from the drop down list.
Note: you cannot delete a time processing category that is in use.
- If required, enter a Note on the highlighted category. If you are editing a category, and the selected category has a note attached to it, the note is displayed in the Notes box and can be edited. The employees currently using the highlighted category are listed in the Employees box.
- If you have finished setting up or editing time processing categories, click OK to save changes and close the Time Processing Categories window.
Set up new Time Processing Period
- On the main menu, click Maintenance > Time Setup > Processing Time Setup.
- In the Processing Time Setup window, select the Accounting Year from the drop down list.
- Select the Accounting Period from the table and click the + sign to expand the period.
- Click the blank row just below the label Time Processing Category to display the arrow at the end of the row.
- Click the list button to display the options: 1 Week, Daily or Monthly. Select an option as required.
If you have selected 1 Week, click the + sign next to the row displaying 1 Week. The table expands to display the weeks (and their start and end dates) available in the selected Accounting Period. Note that the accounting week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday.
- If you have selected Daily, click the + sign next to the row displaying Daily. The table expands to display all the days available in the selected Accounting Period.
- If you have selected Monthly, click the + sign next to the row displaying Monthly. The table expands to display the start and end dates for the month.
You can edit the start and end dates of the Time Processing Period.

If any of the Time Processing Category options do not appear, click Add Accounting Period in the task bar. The Add Accounting Period window appears.

Select the category you want displayed on the Time Processing Period window.

Click OK and then click Yes when prompted to confirm that you want the period displayed for all the accounting periods. The Add Accounting Period window closes and the focus returns to the Processing Time Setup window.
The period is added. -
When you have finished, click OK to save the changes and close the Processing Time Setup window.
Edit Time Processing Period
- On the main menu, click Maintenance > Time Setup > Processing Time Setup.
- In the Processing Time Setup window, select the Accounting Year from the drop down list.
- Select the Accounting Period from the table and click the + sign to expand the period.
- Click the row just below the label Time Processing Category to display the arrow at the end of the row.
- Click the list button to display the options: 1 Week or Daily. Modify the option as required.
- If you have selected 1 Week, click the + sign next to the row displaying 1 Week. The table expands to display the weeks (and their start and end dates) available in the selected Accounting Period. Note that the accounting week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday.
- If you have selected Daily, click the + sign next to the row displaying Daily. The table expands to display all the days available in the selected Accounting Period.
- You can edit the start and end dates of the Time Processing Period.
- When you have finished, click OK to save the changes and close the Processing Time Setup window.
Delete a Time Processing Period
- On the main menu, click Maintenance > Time Setup > Processing Time Setup.
- In the Processing Time Setup window, to delete a Time Processing Period, select the Accounting Period and expand it by clicking on the + sign next to the row. The processing periods are displayed.
- Select the time processing period you want delete by clicking the blue margin cell next to the row. The row is highlighted.
- Press the [Delete] key and then click Yes when prompted to confirm the delete action.
- The processing period is deleted.
- If you have finished making changes, click OK to save the changes and close the Processing Time Setup window.
Delete a Time Processing Category 
- On the main menu, click Maintenance > Time Setup > Time Processing Categories.
- In the The 'Time Processing Categories' window, select the category by clicking the blue margin cell next to the row. The employees currently using the highlighted category are listed in the Employees box.
Note: you cannot delete a time processing category that is in use.
- Press the [Delete] key and then click Yes when prompted to confirm the delete action. The Time Processing Category is deleted.
- If you have finished making changes, click OK to save the changes and close the Time Processing Categories window.
