Set up a Company

  1. On the main menu, click Maintenance > Internal > Companies.
  2. In the  Companies window, in the blank row at the top of the table, enter the Company Name. To modify an existing name, edit the text directly.
  3. Enter a unique Company Code. To modify an existing code, edit the text directly.
  4. In the Default Export Path cell, a default location for exporting files for this company. Use the Find button to navigate to a suitable location, and then enter the default name of the export file in the Browse for Folder window.  This step is optional. Select Dimension 1 from the drop down list. The options are:
  • None
  • Practice
  • Partner
  • Department

 Deleting up a Company

  1. Select Dimension 2 from the drop down list. The drop down list displays the same options as above.
  2. Select the base currency that the Company operates in.
  3. When you have finished, click OK to save the information and close the window.
  4. Press [Enter]. A new blank row is created at the top of the table.
  5. To set up additional companies, repeat steps 2 to 8.
  6. When you have finished, click OK to save the information and close the window.
  1. On the main menu, click Maintenance > Internal > Company
  2. In the Companies window, to select the company you want to delete, click the blue margin cell next to it.  The row appears highlighted.
  3. Press the [Delete] key and then click Yes when prompted to confirm the delete action. The company is deleted.
  4. Click OK to close the window.

Note: you cannot delete companies that are being used by the system. If you try to delete a company that is associated with clients or employees, an error message is displayed.
