Non-Qualifying Distribution

A non-qualifying distribution is classed as a bonus issue of securities, redeemable shares or the paying of a bonus that a company has received. You enter details relating to non-qualifying distributions in the Lloyds Non-qualifying distributions section. In 2017 this screen was renamed Bonus issues of securities and redeemable shares.
  1. Open Lloyd's Non-qualifying distributions to 2016, after 2017 it is Bonus issues of securities and redeemable shares

  2. Select a fund type from the Lloyd's fund drop-down.

  3. Enter the name of the organisation that provided the income in Company.

  4. Select or briefly describe the income in Description.

  5. Complete the following fields:

  • Date paid
    Enter the date within the current tax year.

  • Gross distribution
    Enter the income received without tax deducted.

  • Notional Tax - Notional tax is tax which is treated as having been paid, but which is not repayable under any circumstance. It applies to UK life insurance policy gains, scrip dividends, foreign income dividends and some other income sources. Notional tax is not available for distributions made after 5 April 2016 and this box no longer appears from the 2018 tax return.

  1. Click Save and Close.
