How does it work? Digital Data Request

Digital Data Request is a web-based application that presents your clients with a list of income sources for which they need to provide data, along with any supporting documentation required. It allows them to upload requested information quickly and efficiently from their chosen device which will be available to you in real-time.

Even with the move to Making Tax Digital (MTD) and the information available within the Digital Tax Account, there will still be a need to request information from your clients to enable you to complete their tax return.

To assist your clients in providing this information we have developed the Digital Data Request.

Digital Data Request is available as a browser-based application for your clients, giving them greater flexibility as to how they input and send you information.

This will be accessible through the Digital Data Request tile in their CCH OneClick workspace if they have this feature enabled.

Charging for Data Collection

As of April 2021, Data Collection will become a chargeable feature. Charging will occur at the point a Digital Data Request is sent to the client and will continue on a per client per month basis until the Digital Data Request has been removed as a feature from that client.
