Attach the html file and proceed with the submission.

Attaching accounts with different period dates

If attaching accounts via CCH Accounts Production Review & Tag, the accounts will only attach if the period dates are the same.

In the unlikely event where  the period of account dates in CCH Accounts Production are different than those in CCH Corporation Tax, selecting Attach to CT Return within CCH Review & Tag

will display a message that the Document exported to Corporation Tax

However, as the period dates are different CCH Corporation Tax will not attach the accounts to the submission.

When in CCH Corporation Tax Online Filing, if View is selected from the Attachments area of the top ribbon, and then Accounts, no accounts are displayed as none have been attached despite the message received in Review & Tag that the document exported.

If the period dates are different, open the period in CCH Review & Tag.

Online Filing - Restriction in size of attachments

A validation has been incorporated into Online Filing that validates the size of the files that are attached to the electronic submission. HMRC have advised that the size of the entire electronic submission must not exceed 18mb including attached PDF and HTML documents.
Therefore a validation message will be displayed and the document will be removed where:

  • Accounts, computation or other PDF attachment exceeds 9mb for each document and
  • The submission including attachments exceeds 18mb
