Software Enhancements
Ability to restrict file types on upload
Practices are now able to restrict what file types employees are able to upload either into the Document Centre or Client Document Centre. Enter the required document types into the key-value section of the new configuration key DM_AllowedFileTypes. The values can be entered in Maintenance > User Defined > Configuration. Separate the file types by a comma. eg: *.doc,*.xls etc.
Log out and re-login for changes to take effect.
When a file has been selected for upload that does not conform to the entered allowed file types the following message is shown.
Note: Upon upgrade, the DM_AllowedFileTypes configuration key is automatically created with the default key-value set to *.*, this results in no change to current behaviour. The list of acceptable values within the Key Value column is limited to 255 characters.
Information! Uploads of *.tif, *.tiff and *.pdf files via the Scan tab are unaffected by this.
Information! Restrictions to uploads via the Right mouse click > Send to > CCH Document, the CCH Document Folder Monitoring Utility, CCH Scan Profiler Service and the CCH Email Filing plugin are scheduled for a future release.

Quality Improvements
ITS 66242 - Specific PDF files causing a massive memory hog when a thumbnail is being generated
Since upgrading to 2022.1, when a user clicked preview against certain pdf forms, the preview was blank and the system slowed down and on some occasions crashed. Now when trying to generate a thumbnail for a pdf that is classified as "A fillable pdf" (a pdf document that includes certain fields that are editable eg: a bank request form) the preview is no longer being shown and the following image is displayed.
ITS 66229 - Email > Password Protect a PDF result in 'System.IO The process cannot access the file error'
Since upgrading to 2022.1, when the user tries to password protect the PDF the following "System.IO.IOException: The Process cannot access the file C:\Users\xxx\Documents\CCHDocument\Temp\PDF name.pdf because it is being used by another process.
ITS 66238 - 'Create Email from Document' and 'Convert Document to Email' workflow activities, errors with 'Handshake System.IO Error'
Since upgrading to 2022.1, when using either of the following two DM workflow activities 'Create Email from Document' or 'Convert Document to Email' an 'Handshake System.IO Error was being shown where the SMTPEncryption was set to TLS.
ITS 66241 - 'Create Email from Document' and 'Convert Document to Email' workflow activities, errors with "Exception: SmtpException: Authorisation Failed"
Since upgrading to 2022.1, when using either of the following two DM workflow activities 'Create Email from Document' or 'Convert Document to Email' an Exception: SmtpException: Authorisation Failed for Office 365 Smtp is being returned and the email is NOT being sent. (see Notable Issues for Body of email alignment issues)
ITS 59222 - Document Task Homepage control - SQL performance tuning
Previously, some Practices have reported that there were significant performance hits when interacting with the Document Task Homepage control.
ITS 59567 - Duplicate Document Types where the user was a member of multiple security groups
Previously, where an employee was a member of multiple security groups the Document Types were being displayed multiple times when performing either a Document Type Bulk Update or viewing the Document Type drop-down when clicking Edit Details from the Document Task Homepage.
ITS 55260 - Scan - Used scan licences are not being released
Previously, if CCH Central crashed while the Scan tab was open, the licence was not automatically cleared.
ITS 66277 - Homepage - Workflow name is not displayed for contact document workflows
Previously, where a workflow was attached to a document for a 'contact' only, the workflow name (Contact Name) and other properties were not being populated on the workflow homepage control when that workflow template was selected.
Notable Issues
SMTP Alignment and Image Rendering issues
When using images within the body of the email, there are either alignment or rendering issues (eg: company logos and email signatures), this is currently still being investigated and will be addressed within a future release.
