Prerequisites
Installing CCH Central 2024.2
This release is installed using the Central Suite Installer. This ensures that all prerequisites are in place and that all the products for which you are licenced are installed in the correct sequence.

Software Enhancements
ITS 67988 - Update support telephone to the Support Portal
Within CCH Central, where the CCH Support telephone number was being shown, this has now been updated to display the hyperlink to the CCH Support Portal.
CCH iFirm integration
The following items have been added to CCH Central to aid firms who subscribe to CCH iFirm in future releases.
Address mapping
A new column called iFirm Address has been added to the Address Type window (File > Maintenance > Address/Phone > Address Type). This allows firms to map existing addresses to the three address types within CCH iFirm, the mapping is 1:1 ratio (1 address type from CCH Central to 1 address type from CCH iFirm):
- Postal Address
- Physical Address
- Other Address
If an iFirm Address type is already mapped and a user goes to map that same iFirm Address type to another address in CCH Central the following message is shown:
To remove a mapped iFirm Address, click in the relevant iFirm Address cell and use delete from the keyboard.
When the contact or client is pushed from CCH Central into CCH iFirm, the values of the three address types are populated at that time.
Note: Any address type not mapped, is not synchronised with CCH iFirm.
Association mapping
A new column called iFirm Association has been added to the Association Types window (File > Maintenance > Internal > Association Types).
Upon upgrade, by default, matching CCH iFirm associations are automatically assigned to CCH Central's associations, and where no match is found the cell is left blank. there is no 1:1 ratio, therefore multiple CCH Central associations can be lined to any CCH iFirm association.
To remove a mapped iFirm Association, click in the relevant iFirm Association cell and use delete from the keyboard.
When the contact or client is pushed from CCH Central into CCH iFirm, all open associations and their relevant details are created.
Quality Improvements
ITS 68080 - Search results replace the Manager's name with the alias type where present
since 2024.1, where a client had an alias and the Manger field is shown within the search grid, the Manager field incorrectly shows the alias type, not the Manager's name.
ITS 68020 - Advanced Search not returning results if Extra field security applied
Since 2024.1, zero results were returned when performing an advanced search (where extra fields were enabled with security applied).
Note: Currently, where the extra field group has been marked to 'hide', the extra field names are shown within the advance search drop-down list, but not within the actual client search grid. This display issue within the drop-down list is set to be resolved in a future release.
AML tab available for all clients
Previously, the new AML tab was available for all clients, not just Individuals.
ITS 68075 - AML tab shows the wrong employee
Previously, the employee name displayed within the AML tab grid was incorrectly showing as the logged-in employee, not the employee who performed the check.
ITS 54928 + 57132 - Clientframework.exe not cleared after a software crash
Previously, some Firms reported that when CCH Central closed unexpectedly, the clientframework.exe process was still running in the background. It sometimes took users up to 10 minutes to be able to re-access. The process is now cleared after 2 minutes.
ITS 57336 - Reporting: Dates are formatted in American format when exported to Excel
Previously, when using the listed fields below, the dates were shown in American format when the report was exported to Excel.
