A milestone is a marker that identifies when certain activities must be carried out. A milestone is like a benchmark that has to be reached and completed in the course of moving through stages in a job. A milestone does not have a time, date, cost or charge associated with it. It is just a statement or description of the stage that has to be reached or accomplished as part of the schedule.
For example, ‘Waiting for Signature’, ‘Send form to client’ and ‘Ready for Review’ could all be milestones. Their status is maintained and updated directly from the Assignment Details page rather than through the Timesheets module.
