Viewing standing orders and draft bills - TO BE DELETED

The Standing Orders and Draft Bills window automatically appears when you launch the CCH Practice Management application if: you have sufficient authorisation and posting rights and there are draft bills or standing orders ready for authorisation and/or posting You can view the window at any time however, by selecting Billing > Draft Bills.. from the main menu.

The Standing Orders and Draft Bills window

The Standing Orders and Draft Bills window allows you see at a glance the current bills in the system. You can:

  • view the details for a standing order

  • amend the details of a standing order

  • create a new standing order. You can use an existing client bill to create a template that will automatically generate a new bill for particular clients at a set time.

  • click a number in the Draft No. column to open the Billing Main page for the selected bill

  • click a client name to open their Bills tab Client Details page

  • click a employee name to open their Employee Details page

  • generate a Draft Bill Report for the selected bill by clicking the Report option on the Task Bar

  • preview the selected bill by clicking the Preview option on the Task Bar.

Grouping Draft Bills

You can change how the draft bills are listed in the page by dragging one or more of the available column headings into the grey Group area on the page. This will group the items in the list by the heading(s) you have selected. For example, you may want to view them by employee or date created rather than by billed amount. Use the mouse to drag the required group heading to the Group area on the page and the list will be reset to reflect your chosen option. You can add another group heading either before or after those already selected to further group the items. To view all items just remove all the grouping options from the Group area.

You can also click the column headings to sort by that row.


Standing orders can be set to bypass the normal submission, authorisation and posting stages by using the AutoPost option.
